Before you decide to form a new nonprofit consider the following:
- Can you state in one or two sentences the issue or need for forming a nonprofit.
- Have you researched other nonprofits in your area dealing with this same issue/need?
- Do you know if others will be supportive of your issue/need?
- How much time can you dedicate to the nonprofit?
- From what source will the money come to start the nonprofit?
Move easily through the steps to creating your nonprofit with Sandi
- Meeting to review who will begin the process, who will be incorporator(s).
- Write Articles of Incorporation and file with the Secretary of State.
- First meeting of the Board of Directors, approve Bylaws
- File with Federal Government for Letter of Determination.
- File with State Government for Letter of Determination.
- File with additional appropriate State agencies.
- Create Corporate Notebook.
- Resolve the need by your efforts.
